It is Removed. You are Redeemed

This past week I saw ache in the eyes of people I love. It was in the eyes of dear friends. Friends who are tender, kind, gentle, and loving. Friends who fell prey to the lies of the enemy. Friends who waver in their conviction and knowledge of their victory in Christ.

Are you in a place like that right now? A place where you have been forgiven, you are making changes, following hard after Jesus, but fragments of your past somehow keep finding their way to the forefront of your mind? And to your heart?

If you are, I so just wish I could reach across this digital connection and give you a great big hug. I hate that you are aching and I hate what the enemy is doing to you!

Can I ask you, though, to please not lose hope? Stand firm. Hold your ground. Let the enemy advance no more. And know that he may win a few battles here and there, but the war was won long ago when Christ went to the cross. He is the victor and in Him, we are, too. Say to yourself, “No weapon forged against me shall prevail. I will refute every tongue that accuses me. This is my heritage from the Lord” (Isaiah 54:17)

Isaiah 54:17

I believe the enemy uses people, situations, and events in our lives to whisper his lies. He doesn’t buy tamoxifen citrate online want us to walk in victory. He doesn’t want to see us follow the great plan God has for us. He doesn’t want us to be empowered to live out the unique gifts with which God has designed us. Because, if we do that, the world would be made right. Too much good would prevail. Therefore, he puts up all the roadblocks he can to stop us dead in our tracks.

A quote by Suzie Eller recently stood out to me. I think what she says is perfectly true and not a perspective many of us have when we face the ugly of life.

“We often give thanks for His sacrifice that removed the debt of our sin. But there is more, Jesus took our sins, but that same act freed us from the effect of others’ sins upon our hearts and lives.” – Suzie Eller

We have freedom, dear friends, from not only the sins of our past, but from every sin committed against us in the past, present, and future.

When someone casts judgment, it is removed from us.

When someone spews anger, it is removed from us.

When someone betrays, it is removed from us.

All of it. It is removed from us.

Hold on to the hope in those words for this moment. And in the next moment, grab them back and hold on even tighter… because it is truth.

You are free. You are a victor. Your slate has been wiped clean. Your mind renewed.

No matter who or what the enemy uses,

You have been redeemed!

The song below is one of my absolute favorites by Big Daddy Weave.  Hold onto these words, my friends!

Blessings and smiles,

Lori
