If you are here it means you most likely started on the official landing page for my new book Surrendered Hearts: An Adoption Story of Love, Loss, and Learning to Trust or one of the images with a quote from the book landed you here. Either way, I’m so glad you are here. Each of these extra images have quotes found in the book. If one of them inspires or encourages you, it is an answer to prayer.
A part of this book was written several years ago – before we even brought our sweet daughter home. I believed that someday I would finish it and tell God’s story. But when we did bring Selah home, reality and our vision of what would be came crashing into each other and with it, our family struggled to find a new normal. Our little one had far more needs than anyone dreamed possible. She was a very sick girl and we went into survival mode as we did all we could to help her heal.
Grief overtook me and with it went my words. For years I believed I would never actually tell her story because the layers of grief and struggle hindered my view all God was doing and of the story unfolding before my eyes.
In His time (always in His time!) He brought me here. This book is a full circle moment for our family. Because of it, our Selah’s story is touching the hearts of many. The pain of her past has not gone to waste. The glory of our God is being revealed. And she is walking in victory – a victory I questioned because it didn’t look like my vision of victory.
As you come to this place and either print an image for yourself, share the image, or buy a book (or 2) for yourself or others, you are sharing hope. You are making Selah’s story make a difference. Through you, others will find the hope we have when we know Jesus. They may find God has called them to adopt or to support another who is walking the journey.
A portion of all my book and bracelet proceeds is going to my favorite adoption ministries. You can buy the bracelet on the Surrendered Hearts book landing page right HERE!
